How does this grade calculator work?
This tool automatically generates a comprehensive grading chart based on the total number of questions you provide. It calculates the percentage for every possible score (from 0 wrong to all wrong) and assigns a letter grade based on your customizable thresholds.
Can I customize the grading scale?
Yes! We understand that different schools and professors use different curves. You can manually edit the minimum percentage required for each grade (A, B, C, D, F) in the configuration sidebar, and the table will update instantly.
Is it possible to download the grade chart?
Absolutely. Once you have generated your specific chart, you can click the "Download Chart (CSV)" button. This allows you to open your custom grading table in Excel, Google Sheets, or any other spreadsheet software for easy offline access.
What formula is used for the percentage?
The calculator uses the standard academic formula: (Correct Answers ÷ Total Questions) × 100. The result is rounded to one decimal place to ensure accuracy on your test score chart.
